Mr. Jonathan Finnely Thomas, 37, of Chalmers Drive, Maxton, was born July 29, 1987 and departed this life Saturday, February 22, 2025. He was preceded in death by his father: Mr. John H. Thomas; paternal grandparents: Mr. John Henry Thomas and Mrs. Helen Thomas Carter; and his maternal grandmother: Mrs. Adelene Locklear.
The funeral will be 3 p.m. Monday, March 3, 2025, at White Hill Freewill Baptist Church with the Revs: Isreal Branch and Aaron Hunt officiating. Burial will follow in the Locklear Family Cemetery.
Mr. Thomas leaves to cherish his memories: his mother: Ms. Lena Locklear of Maxton; brother: Mr. Emanuel Lee Thomas (Ashley) of Maton; sister: Ms. Cherry Smiling of Maxton; nephews: Isaiah Thomas and Noah H. Thomas; nieces: Nevaeh Thomas and Bella Thomas; maternal grandfather: Mr. Herman Locklear of Maxton; special aunt: Ms. Lisa Locklear of Maxton and a host of relatives and friends.
The family will receive friends from 2-3 p.m. Monday, March 3, 2025 at White Hill Freewill Baptist Church.
