Mr. Ellard Steen Jr., 64, of 8502 Highway 74 West, was born on November 22, 1952 and departed this life on Saturday, January 14, 2017. He is preceded in death by his parents: Mr. Ellard and Mrs. Edith Steen; one brother: Mr. Joseph Steen and two sisters: Ms. Gloria Jane Locklear and Ms. Carolyn Steen.
The graveside service will be 1:30 p.m. Tuesday, January 17, 2017, at The Steen Family Cemetery with Rev. Ricky Harris and Bro. Keith Locklear officiating.
Mr. Steen is survived by his wife: Mrs. Shirley Boyle Steen; one son: Mr. Ellard Steen III (Whitney); one daughter: Ms. Taylor Nicole Steen; two grandchildren: Emit King Steen and Shelby Addison Steen; four brothers: Mr. Hugh Steen, Mr. Larry Steen, Mr. Vernon Steen and Mr. Randall “Nelly” Steen; five sisters: Ms. Daphne Moser, Ms. Susan Dimery, Ms. Pennie Steen, Ms. Tela Brooks and Ms. Mary Vargas and a host of relatives and friends.
The family will receive friends from 11 a.m. to 1 p.m. Tuesday January 17, 2017, at Locklear and Son Funeral Home.
