Ms. Mary Margaret “Keasie” Locklear, 88, of 2971 Union Chapel Road, Pembroke, was born May 13, 1928 and died Thursday, January 26, 2017, at UNC-Chapel Hill. She was preceded in death by her parents: Mr. Proctor, Sr. and Mrs. Mary Eliza Locklear.
The funeral will be 3:00 p.m. Sunday, January 29, 2017, at Bear Swamp Baptist Church with Rev. Dr. Tim Chavis and Bro. Henry C. Chavis officiating. Burial will follow in the Bear Swamp Church Cemetery.
Surviving are a foster daughter: Ms. Deborah Lowry Jacobs of Pembroke; three brothers: Mr. Proctor Locklear, Jr. of Parkton, Mr. Eddie Arnold Locklear and Mr. Royce “Boot” Locklear both of Rennert; two sisters: Mrs. Grace Strnad and Ms. Betty Locklear both of Parkton and a host of relatives and friends.
The family will receive friends Saturday, January 28, 2017, from 7-9 p.m. at Locklear & Son Funeral Home.
