Mrs. Mary Rena Locklear, 34, of 543 Old Baker Road, Maxton, was born February 17, 1983 and departed this life on Tuesday, May 30, 2017, at Duke Medical Center. She was preceded in death by her father: Mr. Ernest Ray Locklear
The funeral will be 3:00 p.m. Sunday, June 4, 2017, at Baker’s Chapel Baptist Church with the Revs: Lindbergh Chavis, Eddie Carter and Fredrick Locklear officiating. Burial will follow in the White Hill Church Cemetery.
Surviving are her husband: Mr. Edward Carter; a daughter: Miss Raylon Carter; a step-son: Master Cody Carter; her mother: Ms. Rena Brooks; a sister: Mrs. Tracy Locklear(Chad); two nieces: Hallie Carter and Jayelon Strickland; three nephews: Shawn McNeill, Riley Carter and Jordon Strickland; a host relatives and friends; a special thank you to: Ms. Brandy Carter, Mrs. Cora Wedmer and Ms. Charlotte Davis.
The family will receive friends from 7-9 p.m. Saturday, June 3, 2017, at Locklear & Son Funeral Home.
