Mrs. Elier M. Revels, 91, of Pembroke, NC was born June 30, 1929 and departed this life on Tuesday, January 19, 2021. She was preceded in death by her parents: Mr. Shelby and Mrs. Harriett Cummings Locklear; her husband: Mr. Willie McKinley Revels; two brothers: Mr. Willie Blanch Locklear and Mr. John Aster Locklear, seven sisters: Mrs. Gladys L. Jacobs, Mrs. Thesia Lowry, Mrs. Cathern Ann Locklear, Mrs. Veatter Cummings, Ms. Vernie Mae Locklear, Mrs. Lucy D. Griffith and Mrs. Mary Sue Chavis; a special niece: Mrs. Mary Ethel Bryant; and a daughter-in-law: Mrs. Peggie Revels.
The graveside service will be Friday, January 22, 2020 at Mt. Airy Baptist Church Cemetery with Rev. Dr. Mike Cummings officiating.
Mrs. Revels leaves behind to cherish her memory: her two sons: Mr. Timothy Revels and Mr. Jeffery Revels; three grandchildren: Timothy Ryan Revels (Alycia) Troy McKinley Revels and Timbrell Nakia Revels; six great-grandchildren: Andon, Alana, Wintorra, Autumn, Mahiya and Scarlett; a special nephew: Mr. Harry Locklear; a special niece: Mrs. Patricia Ann Hagans; two special friends: Mrs. Lucy O. Thomas and Mrs. Sandra L. Hunt; and a host of relatives and friends.
The family will receive friends from 12:30 – 1:30 p.m. at Locklear & Son Funeral Home.
