Mr. Tyrone Locklear, 79, of 395 Cabinet Shop Road, was born February 2, 1943 and departed this life Monday, August 29, 2022, at his home, surrounded by his loving family.  He was preceded in death by his wife of 50 years: Mrs. Nancy K. Locklear; his parents: Mr. Willie B. & Mrs. Mary Francis Locklear; two brothers: Mr. Crummie Locklear and Mr. Willie O. Locklear; four sisters: Mrs. Helen Grammer, Mrs. Martha Hunt, Ms. Azure Locklear and Mrs. Rosie Locklear.

The funeral will be 2 p.m. Thursday, September 1, 2022, at White Hill Freewill Baptist Church with the Revs: Kelvin Locklear, Phillip Locklear and Scottie Deal officiating.  Burial will follow in the White Hill Church Cemetery.

Surviving are his sons: Mr. Ronnie Locklear(Linda), Mr. Ronald Locklear and Mr. Timmy Locklear(Tracy); six grandchildren: Dylan Locklear(Hannah), Ashland Moore(Harlis), Braiden Locklear, Noah Locklear, Lyndzie Locklear and Kayden Locklear; a great-granddaughter: Hazelyn Moore; brother: Mr. Sterlin Locklear; sisters: Ms. Mary Locklear and Ms. Pearlie Locklear and a host of relatives and friends.

Mr. Tyrone was an active member and trustee of White Hill Freewill Baptist Church for more than 50 years. He was a successful business owner of T & S Plumbing and Electrical and was well known for his work ethic. He will truly be missed by his family and friends.

The family will receive friends from 7-9 p.m. Wednesday, August 31, 2022, at White Hill Freewill Baptist Church

    Sorry for your lost. Known Tyrone since my young childhood days. He married one of my favorite cousins (Nancy), May you both rejoice now that you are together.
