Mr. James Arthur Locklear

Mr. James Arthur Locklear, 84, of 3016 Rennert Road, Lumberton, was born November 13, 1932 and passed away on April 9, 2017 due to a tragic accident. He is preceded in death by his wife: Mrs. Emma Mae Chavis Locklear; a granddaughter: Denise Robinette Locklear; his parents: Mr. Jimmy Pash Locklear and Mrs. Flora Locklear; two brothers and four sisters.

The funeral will be 3:00 p.m. Thursday, April 13, 2017, at Antioch Missionary Baptist Church with Revs: Jimmy Strickland, Dufrene Cummings, Sanford Chavis and Bill Carter officiating. Burial will follow in the Antioch Missionary Baptist Church Cemetery.

Mr. Locklear is survived by his wife: Mrs. Leacy C. Locklear of the home; four sons: Mr. Donald Ray Locklear and Mr. John Wayne Locklear both of Pembroke, Mr. Hubert D. Locklear (Velinda) of Rennert, Mr. Jimmy Dean Locklear (Robin) of Greenup, KY; one stepson: Mr. Harvey Carter; four daughters: Ms. Eva Mae Locklear and Mrs. Libby Jane Locklear(Van) both of Maxton, Ms. Emma Jane Lowery of Pembroke and Mrs. Carol Chapman (William) of Maxton; one brother: Mr. D.L. Locklear of Maxton; one sister: Ms. Evelyn Oxendine of Maxton; eighteen grandchildren; twenty great-grandchildren; two great-great-grandchildren and a host of relatives and friends.

The family will receive friends from 1-3 p.m. Thursday, April 13, 2017, at Antioch Missionary Baptist Church.
