Mr. Alan Wendell Sanderson, 68, of Mooresville, NC was born on December 20, 1955 and departed this life on May 2, 2024. He is preceded in death by his parents: Mr. Solomon Leon Sanderson and Ms. Mary Lois Sanderson; brothers: Mr. Bernice Leon Sanderson and Mr. Roderick Dale Sanderson; and sister: Ms. Carolyn Strickland.
A graveside service will be held 1 p.m. Friday, May 10, 2024 at Bear Swamp Baptist Church Cemetery (1948 St. Anna Road Pembroke, NC 28372) with Rev. Ray Brooks officiating.
Mr. Sanderson leaves to cherish his memory a wife: Mrs. Sara Jane Reves Sanderson of the home; a daughter: Ms. Christy Sanderson of New York; three step-children: Ms. Lisa Church, Mr. Andy Kestler and Mr. Jimmy Kestler all of Mooresville, NC; one sister: Ms. Wendy Sanderson of Pembroke, NC; one brother: Mr. Clay Sanderson of Pembroke, NC; a special friend: Ms. Teresa Wallace of Pembroke, NC; grandchildren, nieces, nephews and a host of relatives and friends.
The viewing will be 9:30 – 12:30 Friday, May 10, 2024 at Locklear and Son Funeral Home. (916 Union Chapel Road Pembroke, NC 28372)
