MS. BERNICE FAYE QUICK LOCKLEAR

     Ms. Bernice Faye Quick, 61, of Rowland, departed from this life and entered eternity on December 4, 2020 in the comfort of her home. She is preceded in death by her sons: Mr. Emanuel And William Kamalu; her parents: Mr. Olen and Jennifer Lee Quick; five sisters: Ms. Shirley Faye Lowery, Ms. Emery Ann Sledge, Ms. Angie Barnhill; Ms. Mary Elizabeth Caulder and Ms. Versie Mae Lowery.

The graveside service will be 2 p.m. Wednesday, December 9, 2020 at St. Annah Baptist Church Cemetery with Revs; Nancy Williamson and James Lowery officiating. Burial will follow.

Ms. Bernice leaves behind to cherish her loving memories one sister: Ms. Pearl Carter of Clarkton, NC; three children: Donna Kamalu of Pembroke, NC, Mr. Timothy Kamalu (Heather) and Ms. Zakisha Jacabs both of Rowland, NC; ten grandchildren; six great-grandchildren; a special, blended family; a mother-in-law: Ms. Meta J. Hughes; three sisters-in-law: Ms. Nancy Williamson, Ms. Andrea Smith and Ms. Pamela Jacobs; a special friend: Mr. William  Earl Kamalu and a host of family and friends.

She was the co-pastor at Mount Sinai Amazing Grace Church and an amazing mama and grandma.

The family will receive friends from 12:00 p.m. – 1:30 p.m. at Locklear & Son Funeral home.
