Mr. Julius Ardell Locklear, Sr. 86, of St. Anna Road Pembroke was born on August 18, 1934 and departed this life on Saturday, April 10, 2021. He was preceded in death by his wife: Mrs. Charlotte Locklear; his parents: Mr. Colonel and Mrs. Trixie Locklear; four brothers: Mr. Alfonce Locklear, Mr. James Charlie Locklear, Mr. Bernell “Jap” Locklear and Mr. Otis Locklear.
The funeral will be 2 p.m. Wednesday, April 14, 2021 at Locklear & Son Funeral Home Chapel with Rev. Tony Miller and Bro. Craymon Strickland officiating. Burial will follow in the Bear Swamp Baptist Church Cemetery.
Mr. Julius Leaves to cherish his memories, his eleven children: Mrs. Linda M. Thompson (Roger) of Michigan, Mrs. Gloria Simon (Steve) of Michigan, Mr. Julius Locklear, Jr. (Tina) of Pembroke, Mr. James Locklear (Loretta) of Michigan, Mr. John Locklear, of Michigan, Mrs. Susan Colvin (Jeff) of Tennessee, Mr. Robert Nevalo (Stacy) of Michigan, Ms. Julie Gluhak of Arizona, Mrs. Stephanie Futrell of Alabama, Ms. Monica Ward of Michigan and Mr. Chucky Ward (Angie) of Michigan; 24 grandchildren; 6 great-grandchildren; one sister: Ms. Yonne Sanderson; three brothers: Mr. Reddy Locklear, Mr. Austin Locklear and Mr. Colonel Locklear, Jr. along with a host of relatives and friends.
The family will receive friends from 1-2 Wednesday, April 14, 2021 at Locklear & Son Funeral Home.
