Ms. Savannah Ree Jacobs Estes, 83, was born in Pembroke, NC on October 7, 1937 and departed this life on Sunday, May 9, 2021 at home. She is preceded in death by her husband: Mr. Samuel W. Estes; her parents: Mr. and Mrs. Henry & Sadie Ree Jacobs; one infant brother: Mr. Benjamin F. Jacobs.
She retired from Healthkeeperz with over 45 years of service and dedication. She loved gardening, cooking homemade meals for her family and friends, listening to gospel music and holding babies.
A graveside service will be held at 11:00 a.m. on Wednesday, May 12, 2021 at Sandcutt Cemetery with Rev. Chris Locklear officiating.
Ms. Estes is survived by two daughters: Mrs. Janet Oxendine (Rodney) of Pembroke and Mrs. Anita Thompson (Bucky) of Lumberton; four grandchildren: Logan Oxendine, Luke Oxendine, Austin Thompson and Maria Thompson; one great-grandson: Christian A. Hunt; one sister: Ms. Mary L. Huddleston of Pembroke; one brother: Mr. Henry V. Jacobs of Pembroke and a host of relatives and friends.
A walk-through visitation will be 9:00 a.m. -10:30 a.m. at Locklear & Son Funeral Home.
