Ms. Phyllis Deese Murray, 66, of 157 Moonlight Lane, was born January 30, 1951 and died Saturday, May 20, 2017, at Southeastern Hospice House. She was preceded in death by her parents: Mr. Velton & Mrs. Sallie Vera Oxendine Deese and a brother: Mr. Kelvin Ray Deese.
The funeral will be 3:00 p.m. Wednesday, May 24, 2017, at St. Anna Freewill Baptist Church with the Revs: Anthony Oxendine, Lindbergh Chavis and Donnie Locklear officiating. Burial will follow in the St. Anna Church Cemetery.
Surviving are a son: Mr. Travis Murray of the home; five sisters: Ms. Doris Faye Deese, Ms. Cindy Sue Deese, Ms. Aggie Neil Locklear, Ms. Janice Lynn Deese and Ms. Karen Deese Jones; and a host of relatives and friends.
The family will receive friends from 1-3 p.m. Wednesday, May 24, 2017, at St. Anna Freewill Baptist Church.
