Ms. Linda Williams, 60, of Maxton, NC was born at home to the late Rev. Rosevelt Chavis and Mrs. Wilma Chavis. On Saturday May 21st of 2022 she departed this life. She was preceded in death by Mr. Curtis Chavis, Mr. Andrew Chavis and Mr. Melvin Chavis.
The funeral will be 2 p.m. Friday, May 27, 2022 at Mt. Olive Pentecostal Holiness Church with Rev. Terry “Ike” Cummings and Pastor Stevie officiating. Burial will follow in the Chavis Family Cemetery.
Ms. Williams is survived by her children: Mrs. Shaunci Harris (Tony Mobley), Mr. James Harris (Candace) Mr. Gary Barton and special friend Mr. Russel Thompson; Aleya Mobley of the home; four sisters: Ms. Teresa Bowens, Ms. Mona Chavis, Ms. Cynthia Chavis and Ms. Lisa Crabtree; four brothers: Mr. Rosevelt Chavis Jr, Mr. Jerry Anthony Chavis, Mr. Terry Chavis and Mr. Bobby Locklear all of Maxton, NC; eleven grandchildren: Aleya Mobley, Kobe Mobley, Jabbar Mobley of Maxton, Nadeya Harris, Jeremiah Harris, Kmari Harris, Caleigh Harris, Londyn Harris, Zamiya Armstrong, Sanai Armstrong pf Atlanta, GA, Makiah Barton of Lauren, SC; and a host of nieces nephews, cousins, family and friends who loved her dearly.
The family will receive friends from 6-8 p.m. on Thursday, May 26, 2022 at Mt. Olive Pentecostal Holiness Church.
