Ms. Gladys Mae Locklear, 88 of Maxton, NC was born June 7, 1935 and departed this life on Monday, October 23, 2023. She was preceded in death by her parents: Mr. Canada Locklear and Mrs. Mary Ann Locklear; five sisters: Ms. Gert, Ms. Berta, Ms. Beulah, Ms. Nervy and Ms. Addie; three brothers: Mr. Hoover, Mr. Rose and Mr. Garfield.
The funeral will be 3 p.m. Saturday, October 28, 2023 at Smithtown Church Of God with Pastor Vinson Locklear officiating. The burial will follow in The Locklear Famil Cemetery.
Ms. Gladys is survived by her son: Mr. Frank Locklear of Maxton; daughter-in-law: Mrs. Gail Locklear of Maxton; grandson: Frank Locklear, Jr. and his close friend: Ms. Mandy Jones both of McColl; granddaughter: Jamie Locklear of Maxton; grandchildren: Dillion Shane Locklear, Christopher Poe, Isaiah Poe, Lakotah Jacobs, Halona Jacobs, Serenity Jones and Hannah Jones; close friend and companion: Ms. Wilma Farrington; friend: Mr. Mark Jones; a host of nieces and nephews, family and friends.
The family will receive friends from 2-3 Saturday, October 28, 2023 at Smithtown Church Of God.
