Mrs. Sallie Mae Locklear, 93, of 214 Michael Dr. Maxton, was born on April 3, 1926 and departed this life on Tuesday, December 17, 2019. She is preceded in death by her parents: Mr. Sam Felton Bullard and Mrs. Rosie Locklear Bullard; husband: Mr. James Locklear; 16 siblings.
The funeral will be 2 p.m. Friday, December 20, 2019 at Sycamore Hill Church with Rev: Kip Woods, Johnnie Emanuel and Ike Cummings officiating. Burial will follow in the Preston Cemetery.
She is survived by one son: Mr. James Locklear Jr.; two honorary sons: Mr. James Clark and Mr. Ike Cummings Jr.; one daughter: Ms. Christine Locklear; two honorary daughters and caregivers: Ms. Sarah Rose Maynor and Ms. Teresa Locklear; two grandchildren: Mitchell Locklear (Crystal) and Robert Locklear (Stephanie); eight great-grandchildren: Ashley Howze (Melvin), Miranda Oxendine (Terry), Megan Locklear (Nick), Ed Locklear (Sorenda), TJ Locklear (Krystal), Willie Locklear, Michael Locklear, and Robert Locklear; eleven great-great-grandchildren: Yazmien, Alyssa, Bryson, Conner, Liam, Katrina, Sierra, Christy, Gray, Michael, Mohanna; one brother: Mr. Sam Bullard Jr. (Wyndolla); three sisters: Ms. Sarah Locklear, Ms. Annie Ruth Locklear (Redell), Ms. Judy Dial; and a host of relatives and friends.
The family will receive friends beginning at 6 p.m. on Thursday, December 19, 2019 at the home.
