Mrs. Mildred was a strong matriarch whose absence will be missed in the days and years to come. She was a member of Union Chapel Holiness Methodist Church her entire life and was a Christian for over 74 years. Mrs. Mildred could be described in so many words, but she took pride in being an educator. She taught elementary education for 25 years, basic adult education for over 20 years, and Sunday school for 62 years. She never met a stranger and if she didn’t know you, she made sure to get to know you. She loved to witness to everyone about the goodness of the Lord. One of her favorite Bible verses was, “weeping may endure for a night, but joy cometh in the morning” Psalms 30:5. Her testimony is one that will live on through the lives that she touched along her journey.

Visitation will take place at Locklear & Son Funeral Home from 1-2 p.m Sunday November 15, 2020.
