Mrs. Mary Louise Carter

Mrs. Mary Louise Carter, 85, of 153 Stanley St. Pembroke, NC., was born on August 12, 1933 to Mr. Wesley and Mrs. Geneva Cummings and departed this earthly life and returned to her heavenly home on Monday, December 10, 2018. She was preceded in death by her parents: Mr. Wesley and Mrs. Geneva Sanderson Cummings and her husband: Mr. Rudolph Carter. The funeral will be 3:00 p.m. Friday, December 14, 2018 at Pembroke First Baptist Church with Revs: Mike Cummings and David Oxendine officiating. Burial will follow in the Harpers Ferry Cemetery. Mrs. Mary Louise Carter was a member of First Baptist Church in Pembroke, NC. and served as an educator in the Public School of Robeson County for 35 years. She was a dedicated mother to her own children and to the children she taught. She is survived by her son: Mr. Wesley Dwayne Lowry of Pembroke; daughter: Ms. Chicora Louise Lowry of the home; four grandchildren: Hannah Lowry, Dakota Oxendine, Jamie Jacobs and Eric Jacobs; five great-grandchildren: Chase Dwayne Jacobs, Eric Jacobs Jr., Chandler Locklear, Justice Jacobs and Ryder Jacobs; her sisters: Quessie C. Dial (James) and Cloise O. Berry (Johnny) and a multitude of family and friends. The family will receive friends from 6-8 p.m. Thursday, December 13, 2018 at Locklear & Son Funeral Home. In Lieu of Flowers memorials can be made to UNCP Foundation Class of 1955.
