Mrs. Lottie Jones Locklear, 70, of 70 Ardell Road, Maxton, was born April 21, 1952 and passed away Wednesday, November 9, 2022, at UNC-Chapel Hill. She was preceded in death by her husband: Mr. Belton Locklear, Sr.; her parents: Mr. Laddie & Mrs. Christine Jones; two brothers: Mr. Joseph Thomas Jones and Mr. Roy Locklear; a sister: Ms. Mickey Jones and a step-grandson: Melvin “Papa” Chavis, Jr.
The funeral will be 2:00 p.m., Tuesday, November 15, 2022, at Restoration Assembly of God with the Revs: Matthew Jones and Shawn Chavis officiating. Burial will follow in the Restoration Church Cemetery.
Surviving are two sons: Mr. Belton Lee Locklear, Jr.(Crystal) and Mr. Shelton Jones, Jr. both of Maxton; eight brothers: Mr. Harold Jones, Mr. Clonnie Jones, Mr. Larry Jones, Mr. Huburt Jones, Mr. Shelton Jones, Mr. Ted Lowery, Mr. Lonzo Jones and Mr. Humphrey Jones; three sisters: Ms. Carol Locklear, Ms. Mary Smiling and Ms. Jewel Clark; nine grandchildren: Xavier Lee Locklear, Charisa Lynn Locklear, Alexis Chavis, Sabrina Chavis, Tommy Locklear, Dylan Jones, Jacoby Jones, Colton Jones, Shakira Jones and a host of relatives and friends.
The family will receive friends from 7-9 p.m. Monday, November 14, 2022, at Restoration Assembly of God.
