Helping Families and Friends Honor Their Loved One
MRS. ANNIE RUTH BULLARD

MRS. ANNIE RUTH BULLARD

Mrs. Annie Ruth Bullard was born July 25, 1948 and passed away peacefully on Thursday, December 2, 2021 surrounded by her loved ones.  She was the daughter of the late Mr. & Mrs. George Miller and Esther Lowery.

Mrs. Annie was a devoted wife, mother, grandmother, sister and friend.  She gave love and respect abundantly to all.  Mrs. Annie was passionate about serving Christ and her community from a very young age and was a member of PUMC for 49 years.  Mrs. Annie served the Prospect United Methodist Women as Program Resources for Gateway District.

Mrs. Annie was a fiercely dedicated mother and grandmother, our biggest cheerleader and our constant support. The family would not be where it is today if not for her continuous love and prayers.  Her life’s work involved caring for members of her family and supporting them through the many passions and difficulties of their lives.  She made it her mission to improve the lives of others.  Mrs. Annie loved to travel and when she wasn’t filling her home with warmth and kindness, she could be found in her shop practicing the art of porcelain dolls in which she was very gifted.  She was a retired educator, librarian and Sunday school teacher.  Upon retiring she founded EagleFeather arts in Pembroke.

The funeral will be 2 p.m. Tuesday, December 7, 2021, at Prospect United Methodist Church with Revs. Dr. Kenneth Locklear, Dr. Sam Wynn and Douglas Locklear. Burial will follow in the Oxendine Cemetery.

Mrs. Annie Ruth was preceded in death by her husband: Mr. Johnny Bullard: parents: Mr. George and Esther Lowery; three brothers: Donald, Archie, Cleo, and sister Candice.  She leaves behind her two sons: Mr. Mark Anthony Bullard (Brooke) of Pembroke and Mr. Stephen Ross Bullard (Shantonia) of Pembroke; a sister: Janice Faye Locklear (Douglas); Brother: Luther Lowery; adopted daughter/caregiver Joann Bullard; special friend/caretaker Mrs. Katherine; and eight grandchildren (Amy, Mesca, Zachary, Brianna, Wyatt, Chelsey, Chona, Jace); two great-grandchildren (Jalyn, Axl) extended family and a host of friends.

The family will receive friends from 1-2 p.m. Tuesday, December 7, 2021 at Prospect United Methodist Church.
