Mr. Samuel Locklear

Mr. Samuel Locklear, 79, of 390 Midway Road, Rowland was born December 28, 1938 and died Thursday, July 19, 2018, at Southeastern Regional Medical Center. He was preceded in death by his parents: Mr. Jessie & Mrs. Downy Locklear; seven brothers: Mr. Ernest Locklear, Mr. Council Locklear, Mr. Castoe Locklear, Mr. James A. Locklear, Mr. Elmore Locklear, Mr. William Locklear and Mr. David Locklear; five sisters: Ms. Stella Oxendine, Ms. Esther Lowery, Ms. Ovelia Jacobs, Ms. Sarah A. Locklear and Ms. Ethel Smith. The funeral will be 2:30 P.M. Monday, July 23, 2018, at Gospel Tabernacle Baptist Church with the Revs: Chris Locklear and Johnny Locklear officiating. Burial will follow in the Locklear Family Cemetery. Surviving are his wife: Mrs. Barbara Locklear; two sons: Mr. Delbert Locklear and Mr. Welbert Locklear; three daughters: Mrs. Debra Miller, Ms. Belinda Locklear and Ms. Sandra Locklear; a brother: Mr. Josephus Locklear; four grandchildren: Stewart Locklear, Marco Rodriguez, Christian Locklear and Kimberly Locklear; four great-grandchildren: Alexander Rodriguez, Raylon Rodriguez, Maddie Rodriguez and Jaylee Locklear and a host of relatives and friends. The family will receive friends from 7-9 p.m. Sunday, July 22, 2018, at Gospel Tabernacle Baptist Church.
