Mr. Mitchell Alan Locklear, 60 of 153 Prentis Road was born November 26, 1956 and departed this life on Saturday, March 4, 2017 at his home. He is preceded in death by a son: Mr. Tommie Hunt; and his parents: Mrs. Mary Sally and Mr. Hosie Locklear.
The funeral will be 3:00 p.m. Tuesday, March 7, 2017, at Locklear & Son Funeral Home with Revs: Steve Strickland, Robert Oxendine and James L. Demery officiating. Burial will follow in the Family Cemetery.
He is survived by his wife: Mrs. Yvonne O. Locklear; a daughter: Mrs. Amy Howard (Drake); a son: Mr. Marcus Oxendine; a special granddaughter: Hope Ransom; a special grandson: Brad Watts; two grandsons: Kinston Oxendine and Seth Oxendine; one granddaughter: Tomya Hunt, one great-grand: Sophiea Oxendine; four sisters: Ms. Sally Locklear, Ms. Angeline Locklear, Ms. Jean Locklear, and Ms. Jeanette Locklear; one brother: Mr. Dizzie Locklear and a close niece: Angeline Locklear.
The family will receive friends from 2-3 p.m. Tuesday March, 7, 2017, at Locklear & Son Funeral Home.
