Mr. Jerry Oxendine, 74, of 160 Britton’s Farm Road, was born June 5, 1945 and went home to be with Jesus, Thursday, March 12, 2020, at Southeastern Regional Medical Center. His suffering is over. He was preceded in death by his parents: Mr. Britton & Mrs. Beulah Oxendine; a granddaughter: Miss Kensly Shane Oxendine; a step-son: Mr. Shane Otis Harris; seven brothers: Mr. James Alvin Oxendine, Mr. W.D. Oxendine, Mr. James Early Oxendine, Mr. Gene Autry Oxendine, Mr. Britton Oxendine, Jr., Mr. Jimmy Ray Oxendine and Mr. Nelson Oxendine; two sisters: Mrs. Virginia Blackwood and Mrs. Rowena Godaire.
The funeral will be 2:00 p.m. Monday, March 16, 2020, at Union Chapel Community Baptist Church with the Revs: Jimmy Strickland and Roy Clark officiating. Burial will follow in the Oxendine Cemetery.
Mr. Oxendine is survived by a daughter: Ms. Shannon Meshell Oxendine of Pembroke; step children: Mr. Howard Ryan Allen, Ms. Frankie Lynn Howington, Ms. Robin Britt, Ms. Veronica Oxendine and Ms. Celia Clark; special grandchildren: Miss Kaylen Ruth Oxendine and Miss Karlie Oxendine; a sister: Ms. Mary Sally Oxendine; a brother: Mr. David Earl Oxendine(Isle) all of Pembroke; two sisters-in-law: Ms. Barbara Oxendine of Pembroke and Ms. Katherine Oxendine of Matthews, NC.
The family will receive friends from 1-2 p.m. Monday, March 16, 2020, at Union Chapel Community Baptist Church.
