Mr. Charlie Locklear was a man of few words but when he spoke, people listened.  He spent more than 30 years at Maxton Oil Mill and over 15 years at House of Raeford as a master mechanic and served in various supervisory capacities.   Mr. Locklear only had a third grade education but he did not allow that to hinder him from moving up the ladder so he could provide for his family.  Rarely did you hear the words “I love you from Mr. Locklear” but his family knew he loved them because he always made sure they had everything they needed; he was a great provider.  Mr. Locklear accepted Jesus Christ as his Lord and Savior later in life and became a faithful member of Crossway Baptist Church in Laurinburg, NC.

The family will receive friends from 6-8 p.m. Saturday, August 29, 2020, at Locklear & Son Funeral Home.
