Mr. Bryon Jeter Creech

     Mr. Bryon Jeter Creech, 63, of the Union Chapel Community, Pembroke, NC, departed this life Thursday, October 10, 2019.  He was preceded in death by his parents: Mr. Forrest Belcher & Mrs. Grace Naomi Creech of Charleston, SC; and a brother: Mr. Forrest Brabham Creech of Charleston, SC.

Mr. Bryon earned a Bachelor of Science degree from Georgia Tech and a Business degree at Palmer Business College in Charleston, SC.  He was a member of Solomon’s Lodge No.1 Ancient Free Masons.  He was employed by Daniel’s Construction Company and CH2M Hill Construction Company as a safety engineer.  Mr. Bryon was a prominent business owner, having owned and operated Bear Claw’s Den in Pembroke, NC for the past 7 years.

     The funeral will be 2:00 p.m. Monday, October 14, 2019, at Union Chapel Community Church with the Revs: Jimmy Strickland, Gary Locklear and Jeremy Brewington officiating.  Burial will follow in the Oxendine Cemetery.

     Mr. Creech is survived by his wife of 22 years: Mrs. Penny Rena Creech of the home; two sons: Mr. Shannon Creech of Goose Creek, SC and Mr. Grayson Creech(Malinda Lowery) of Durham, NC; sister: Ms. Barbara Ann Gillis of Niles, Michigan; two grandchildren: Jacob Creech and Lydia Lowery; six nieces and six nephews; a special friend: Ms. Amelia Rose Locklear and a host of relatives and friends whom he loved dearly.

     The family will receive friends from 6-8 p.m. Sunday, October 13, 2019, at Locklear & Son Funeral Home.
