Mr. Billy Ray Locklear, 81, of 11310 Deep Branch Road was born September 7, 1940 to the late Mr. Elmore & Mrs. Leatha Bullard Locklear of the Union Chapel Community. He ended life’s journey on Saturday, September 12, 2021 at his home with his wife of 62 years, Mrs. Lucy, by his side. He was preceded in death by his son: Mr. Eli A. Locklear, a great grandson: Master Aiden Caldwell and a daughter-in-law: Mrs. Gertrude Locklear.
The graveside service will be 2 p.m. Wednesday, September 15, 2021, at White Hill Freewill Baptist Church with the Rev. Chris Miller officiating.
He is survived by his wife: Mrs. Lucy Locklear, sons: Mr. William K. Locklear; Mr. Heath Locklear(Sue) and Mr. Barry Locklear(Tosha); daughter-in-law: Ms. Radella Locklear; fifteen grandchildren; two great-grandchildren and a host of relatives and friends.
The family will receive friends from 12:30-1:30 p.m. Wednesday, September 15, 2021, at Locklear & Son Funeral Home.
