Mr. Antonio Jones

Mr. Antonio Devon Jones “Tonio/ Tony” was born October 22, 1972 and gained his wings on April 9, 2023 at the age of 50. He was preceded in death by his father: Mr. Devan Jones.

The funeral will be 2:30 p.m. Sunday, April 16, 2023 at Elrod Baptist Church with Pastor Gary Chavis and Rev. Stoney Locklear officiating. Burial will follow in the Jones Family Cemetery.

He is survived by his two children: Ms. Christina Jones and Mr. Taimon Trae Jones. He was a grandpa to one grandson: Colson Nova Jones.

Mr. Antonio is also survived by his mother: Ms. Shirley Jones; two siblings: Mr. David Hunt and Ms. Katina Jones; three nieces: Marissa Hunt, Marlana Hunt and Mikayla Hammonds as well as two nephews: David Michael Hunt and Austin Jones. He also leaves to cherish memories with many aunts. Uncles and cousins. Especially with his aunt Pearl that helped and played a big role in his life.

The family will receive friends from 1:30 – 2:30 Sunday, April 16, 2023 at Elrod Baptist Church.

Mr. Antonio was a dedicated member of Elrod Baptist Church. Antonio loved the Lord and it was evident in his life. Three years ago, Antonio gave his life and whole heart to God and the old man was gone. Antonio was well known for his amazing craft and skill of hanging and finishing dry wall. If you wanted your dry wall done, Antonio was the man for the job. Antonio had two children that he adored and loved dearly. As a part of his testimony things in his life that bad decisions allowed him to miss many years of time with his children, but praise God he was able to be in their lives now. Antonio often would say how proud he was of his son Trae and talk about how much he loved his grandson, Colson Nova so much. One of his favorite sayings to friends and family when talking to the saved and unsaved was “Hey look at me! Look where God has brought me from! Praise God! Thank you Jesus!”
