MARY ANN GRAHAM

MARY ANN GRAHAM

Ms. Mary Ann Graham, 81, of Maxton, NC, was born May 23, 1942 and departed this earthly realm on Friday, December 1, 2023 and began her new life in the loving arms of her Savior. She was a wonderful mother who took on the roles of mother and father after the passing of her one true love, Mr. Buck Graham. Despite these struggles, she always provided a loving and warm home for her family and friends. She was as comfortable in a garden working with her hands as she was in the church with her bible. Mary Ann will be missed for her memories of old times, for her loving, caring and sometimes smothering attention and for being our solid rock that we could always count on no matter the situation. She was and will always be Momma, Momma Mary Ann, and Aunt Mary. Go rest, Momma, for you have fought the good fight, you have finished the race, and you kept your faith.

She is proceeded in death by her husband: Mr. Theodore Clifton “Buck” Graham; parents: Mr. Wardell and Ms. Lizzie Barton; siblings: Ms. Delores Dial, Ms. Doris Barton, Ms. Sally Bullard, Ms. Wendy Barton, Mr. Royal “Pap” Barton, Mr. Paul Barton, and Mr. George Lloyd.

The funeral will be 3 p.m. Tuesday, December 5, 2023 at First Baptist Church with Pastor David Oxendine and Mr. Christopher Graham officiating. Burial will follow in the Graham Family Cemetery.

She is survived by her children: Mr. Adam Going, Mr. Sean Graham (Jaywan), and Ms. Christy Graham (Charles); siblings: Ms. Helen Locklear, Ms. Emma Jean Brewer, Ms. Mabel Locklear, Ms. Peggy Hunt, Ms. Linda Dial (Maurice), Mr. Wardell “Bucky” Barton Jr., Mr. Beachman Barton (Peggy) and Mr. Samuel Barton; grandchildren: Lindsey G. Paul, Kristin L. Paul, Kristin H. Rimberg, Brittany D. Brayboy, Dylan J. Brayboy, Kyle R. Going and Brooke D. Going; great grandchildren: NaRylei Lowery, Kane Lowery, Kyzlei Paul, Zayden Locklear, Memphis Chavis, Alayla Norton, Nakiyah Norton, and Adam R. Going, Delilah M. Going and a host of relatives and friends.

The family will receive friends from 2-3 p.m. Tuesday, December 5, 2023 at First Baptist Church.

Praying that Gods caring and comforting presence will surround the family of Ns. Mary Ann Graham during this most difficult time and may the love and mercy of our Lord help to ease the pain of your loss.

May you find comfort in knowing that your mother is in the arms of our Lord Jesus. She was a beautiful lady and I enjoyed working with her at Piney Grove School. Sorry for your loss. Prayers.
