Mrs. Willie Ree Chavis, 97, of 3855 Union Chapel Road, was born February 28, 1925 and departed this life for her Heavenly home, Tuesday, October 25, 2022. She was the daughter of Mr. Eddie & Mrs. Deborah Revels of the Saddletree Community and was reared by Mr. Lunnie & Mrs. Matilda Locklear from the Union Chapel Community. She was preceded in death by two children: Ms. Amy Denise Chavis and Mr. Myron Todd Chavis; her parents: Mr. Eddie & Mrs. Deborah Revels; three sisters: Ms. Virginia Lee Sanderson, Ms. Ruth Wright and Ms. Pearl Jacobs; four brothers: Mr. Marion Revels, Mr. John Revels, Mr. Osceola Revels and Mr. Bobby Revels.
The funeral will be 3:00 p.m., Saturday, October 29, 2022, at Union Chapel Holiness Methodist Church with the Revs: Chris Miller and Willie Scott, Jr. officiating. Burial will follow in the Locklear Family Cemetery.
Surviving are six sons: Mr. Ronnie Revels(Charity), Mr. Anthony Chavis, Mr. Michael Chavis(Patricia), Mr. Avery Chavis all of Pembroke, Mr. George Chavis(Connie) of Lumberton and Mr. Laudell Chavis(Sherry) of Odenville, Alabama; two daughters: Ms. Brenda Faye Maynor and Mrs. Willie Ann Locklear(Larry) both of Pembroke; twenty-two grandchildren; thirty-seven great-grandchildren; seven great-great-grandchildren and a host of relatives and friends.
The family will receive friends from 1:30-3:00 p.m. Saturday, October 29, 2022, at Union Chapel Holiness Methodist Church.
