Mr. Jimmy Locklear, 68, of 6075 Hwy 74 W. Rowland, NC was born April 3, 1952 and departed into his heavenly home on Sunday, February 28, 2021. He was preceded in death by his father: Mr. Barto Locklear; his mother: Mrs. Cletus Oxendine Locklear and two brothers: Mr. Boyd “Buddy” Locklear and Mr. Robert Locklear.
The funeral will be 3 p.m. Thursday, March 4, 2021 at Locklear & Son Funeral Home Chapel with Revs: Edward Brooks and Donald Locklear officiating. Burial will follow in the Burnt Swamp Church Cemetery.
He leaves to cherish his memories, his wife of 45 years: Mrs. Cathlene Locklear of the home; one son: Mr. Kenneth Oxendine of Rowland, NC; two grandchildren: Mr. Kendrick Oxendine (Ashlee) of Lumberton, NC and Mr. Branlon Oxendine (Emily Jo) of Pembroke, NC; three great-grandchildren: Kenlee Kade Oxendine, Alivia Jade Oxendine both of Lumberton, NC and Dean Carson Oxendine of Pembroke, NC; two brothers; Mr. Roye Locklear (Connie) and Mr. Danny Locklear (Libby); one sister: Ms. Opal Oxendine along with a host of family and friends.
The family will receive friends from 2-3 p.m. Thursday, March 4, 2021 at Locklear & Son Funeral home.
