Ms. Sara Locklear, 79, of Pembroke, was born on January 6, 1944 and went to her heavenly home on Tuesday, February 7, 2023. She is the daughter of the late Mr. Gus and Mrs. Josephine Locklear. She is preceded in death by her brothers: Mr. Eberts, Mr. Edsel, Mr. Prentis, Mr. Gus Jr., Mr. Gary Wayne, Mr. Lockwood and one sister: Ms. Bertha.
The funeral will be 2 p.m. Friday, February 10, 2023 at Bear Swamp Baptist Church with Rev. Dr. Timmy Chavis and Rev. Dr. Robert Mangum officiating. Burial will follow in the Locklear Family Cemetery.
Ms. Sara leaves to cherish her memories, two sisters: Mrs. Patsy (Russell Jr.) and Ms. Mary Francis; a special niece and nephew: Ms. Gerri and Mr. David “Tom” (Susan); three great nieces: Hannah, Christen and Elizabeth and a host of other nieces, nephews, friends and family.
Ms. Sara retired from Willamtte Industries and enjoyed shopping, traveling and flea marketing as well as fellowshipping with her church family and friends at Bear Swamp Baptist Church.
The family will receive friends from 1-2 p.m. at Bear Swamp Baptist Church.
