Hear Ye, Hear Ye! Let it be known Heaven is rejoicing. Priscilla Marie Jacobs has transferred her citizenship from earth to Heaven. She has joined her savior, Jesus Christ, her maternal grandparents: Mr. & Mrs. Woodrow (Virginia) Harris, her paternal grandparents: Mr. & Mrs. Davis (Versie) Jacobs; the baby that stole her heart: little Kinsley Oxendine and a special uncle: Mr. Johnnie Harris Jr. God granted Mr. & Mrs. Thomas Ray (Christie) Jacobs the gift of calling Ms. Priscilla their daughter for 48 years. She was loaned to them November 21, 1969 and was called to her heavenly home Friday, August 10, 2018. The funeral will be 4:00 p.m. Monday, August 13, 2018 at Union Chapel Community Baptist Church with Revs: Jimmy Strickland, Dr. Kenneth Locklear and Bro. Tony Locklear officiating. Burial will follow in the Oxendine Family Cemetery. Mr. James Davis Lewis and Dora Renee Lewis was proud to call Priscilla “Mom.”She loved her children with a love that could only come from God and prayed for them constantly. Ms. Priscilla was a great sister to Mr. James Ray Jacobs and Ms. Jessica Nicole Jacobs. Karli and Kaylen Oxendine also stole her heart and she loved them as if they were her own. Her nieces and nephews all loved and adored her. Kenneth Thomas Jacobs and Randall William Baggett (Billy Bob) and Jillian Daye looked forward to their visits with her. Morgan Elizabeth Lewis Oxendine was a niece and also a trusted loyal friend. Blood could not have made the bond between Ms. Priscilla and Ms. Barbara Janine Scott any closer. Ms. Priscilla thought of Janine as her second daughter. God, Family, Friends, Union Chapel Community Baptist Church, The Lumbee Nation, UNC Basketball, Rev. Jimmy & Brenda Strickland, Rev. Dr. Kenneth & Janet Locklear, Mr. James Jones and Mr. Tony & Mrs. Blair Locklear are just a few of her favorite things and people. Ms. Priscilla’s passion was helping others and providing a shoulder for others to lean on. The family will receive friends from 6:30-9 p.m. Sunday, August 12, 2018, at Locklear & Son Funeral Home.
