Ms. Pearlene Dial, 76, of 2740 Prospect Road, Pembroke, was born October 15, 1944 and departed this life on July 4, 2021 at University of North Carolina at Chapel Hill Hospital. She is preceded in death by her parents: Mr. Daniel Tucker Dial, Sr. and Mrs. Pearlie Locklear Dial; her sisters: Ms. Varlee, Ms. Cora Sue, Ms. Sallie Mae, Ms. Alice and Ms. Bessie; her brothers: Mr. Daniel “Bozo” Tucker, Jr., Mr. Vardell, Mr. George “Buce” Roscoe, Mr. Terry and Mr. James Earl; and his grandsons: Bryan and Ryan.
The funeral will be 1 p.m. Friday, July 9, 2021 at Prospect United Methodist Church with Revs. Dr. Samuel Wynn, Dr. Kenneth Locklear and Dr. Carolyn Cumming-Woriax officiating. Burial will follow in the Dial Family Cemetery.
She leaves to cherish her loving memories, her son: Mr. Horace (Brenda) and two daughters: Mrs. Purlie (James) and Mrs. Faith (Ashley); her grandchildren: Nakela, Kayla and Ethan; her sisters: Ms. Martha, Ms. Arlene (Mary), Ms. Ethel and Ms. Lucille; her brothers: Mr. Rodney and Mr. Cardell (Martha Neal); a special friend Ms. Jane (Anthony) and a host of friends and loved ones.
She leaves behind a legacy of powerful prayer, faithful fellowship and memories that will forever live in the hearts and minds of those who knew, loved and admired her.
The family will receive friends 7-9 p.m. Thursday, July 8, 2021 at Locklear & Son Funeral Home.
