Ms. Linda Kay Taylor, 70, of 8393 Deep Branch Road, Pembroke, was born November 27, 1955, and departed this life on Saturday, March 21, 2026 surrounded by her family and loved ones. She was preceded in death by her parents: Mr. Frank & Mrs. Mary Taylor; her brothers: Mr. Frank Jr. and Mr. Donny Rushing and her sister: Ms. Hilda Smith.
Ms. Linda leaves to cherish her memories: her sister: Ms. Frances Edwards; a brother: Mr. Johnny Taylor; three children: Mr. Samuel Cummings, Jr., Mr. Don Roger Cummings and Ms. Michelle Cummings; three grandchildren: Kyera Oxendine(Justin), Alexia Oxendine and Kylie Cummings; four great-grandchildren: Addison, Haizley, Zoey and Nahla Johnson and a host of relatives and friends.
Ms. Linda’s greatest joy in life was being a mother to her children, grandchildren and beautiful great-grandchildren. She enjoyed her talks with her son, drinking coffee and spending time with her granddaughter, she raised Kyera and enjoyed babysitting her great-grandchildren. She will be greatly missed.
A graveside service will be 11:00 a.m. Wednesday, March 25, 2026, at the J & R Locklear Family Cemetery, 280 Rosa Drive, Rowland, with the Rev. Dufrene Cummings officiating.
