Ms. Dora Locklear

Ms. Dora Locklear, 96, was born May 13, 1921 in Robeson County and departed this life on Thursday, February 8, 2018. She is preceded in death by her parents: Mr. Lloyd Locklear and Mrs. Allie Locklear; three brothers: Mr. Richmond, Mr. Webb and Mr. Monroe; eight sisters: Ms. Mandy, Ms. Nola, Ms. Berter, Ms. Ethel Belle, Ms. Louise, Ms. Queen, Ms. Zelma and Ms. Tillie. The funeral will be 3:30 p.m. Sunday, February 11, 2018 at Union Chapel Holiness Methodist Church with Revs. Jimmy Strickland and Willie Scott Jr. officiating. Burial will follow in the Oxendine Cemetery. Ms. Locklear is survived by a niece that was like a sister to her: Ms. Bonnie Scott; Mr. Ray, Ms. Tina Mr. Cody, Ms. Tamera who were like grandchildren to her; and a host of nieces, nephews, family and friends. The family will receive friends from 7 – 9 p.m. Saturday, February 10, 2018, at Locklear & Son Funeral Home.
