Mrs. Geraldine Oxendine, 78, of 927 Sampson Road, was born August 12, 1941 to late Mr. James Edward and Mrs. Louise Locklear. She departed this life on Sunday, February 23, 2020 at Southeastern Regional Medical Center in Lumberton, NC. She is preceded in death by her husband: Mr. Lee Edward Oxendine; two sons: Mr. Michael Oxendine and Mr. Timmy Oxendine; two sisters: Ms. Mary Lou Jones and Ms. Judy Locklear; two brothers: Mr. Roosevelt Locklear and Mr. James H. Locklear.
The funeral will 3:00 p.m. Thursday, February 27, 2020, at Gospel Tabernacle Baptist Church with Revs: Roy Clark and Donald Bullard officiating. Burial will follow in the Willard’s Chapel Cemetery.
She is survived by her daughter: Ms. Priscilla Oxendine of the home; four sisters: Ms. Shirley Locklear, Ms. Lucy Locklear, Ms. Dora Harrigon and Ms. Paulette Locklear all of Lumberton; one brother: Mr. Beauford Locklear (Veronica) of Lumberton; three grandchildren: Brianna N. Locklear, Camella A. Locklear, Cheyanne Locklear; best friend: Ms. Joyce Sampson and a host of relatives and friends.
The family will receive friends from 6-8 p.m. Wednesday, February 25, 2020 at Gospel Tabernacle Baptist Church.
