Mrs. Florence “Sally” Locklear, 72, of 138 Genes Road, Pembroke, was born October 23, 1950 and departed this life on Wednesday, November 30, 2022 surrounded by her family. She was preceded in death by her parents: Mr. Hosie and Mrs. Mary Sallie Locklear; seven brothers and five sisters.
The funeral will be 3 p.m. Sunday, December 4, 2022 at Mt. Airy Baptist Church with Revs. Steve Strickland, Dr. Michael Cummings, Kelvin Locklear and Adrian Hammonds officiating. Burial will follow in the church cemetery.
Mrs. Florence was a loving wife, mother, grandmother and friend to many.
Mrs. Florence leaves to cherish her memory, her loving husband of 44 years: Mr. Terry Locklear; three daughters: Mrs. Stacy Locklear (Adam), Ms. Tracy Locklear and Mrs. Terri Lynn Locklear (Ted) all of Pembroke; one brother: Mr. Dizzie Dean Locklear (Genette); four sisters: Mrs. Alice Thomas (Bob), Ms. Angeline Locklear, Ms. Jeanette Locklear and Mrs. Jean Deese (Glenn); her grandchildren: Carrie Hunt, Jadon Locklear, Jacey Locklear, Kera Locklear, Treasure Locklear and Tristen Locklear; a special friend: Ms. Sandy Lowery and a host of relatives and friends.
The family will receive friends from 2-3 p.m. Sunday, December 4, 2022 at Mt. Airy Baptist Church.
