Ms. Elsie Mae Ransom Scott, 80, lived on 298 Hiawatha Road Pembroke, NC. She was born on May 19, 1943 to the late Mr. Canadian Cummings and Mrs. Della Ransom Brewer and departed from us on Friday, September 29, 2023. She is preceded in death by her husband: Mr. James Frank Scott; mother: Mrs. Della Ransom Brewer; sister: Ms. Joyce Ransom Oxendine; father: Mr. Canadian Cummings; daughter: Ms. Nancy Louise Ransom; son: Mr. Victor Ransom and a special nephew: Cardean Locklear.
The funeral will be 3 p.m. Sunday, October 1, 2023 at St. Anna Freewill Baptist Church with Revs: Tony Miller and Donnie Locklear officiating. Burial will follow in the church cemetery.
Ms. Elsie retired from Robeson County after 10 years of service and 30 years in manufacturing. She enjoyed working in the church, keeping her yards clean and also being there to help her family.
She is survived by a nephew: Mr. Ricky Ransom; niece: Ms. Virginia Hunt (Drake); daughter-in-law: Ms. Julie Lowery; six grandchildren: Nikita, Stephen, Lucas, Kennedy, Jensen and Lensington and a host of relatives and friends.
The family will receive friends from 2-3 p.m. Sunday, October 1, 2023 at St. Anna Freewill Baptist Church.
