Mrs. Debbie Jane Brayboy, 56, was born on December 14, 1969, to her loving parents, Mr. Carnie and Mrs. Clara Dale Brayboy, the cherished baby of their five children. Surrounded by the love of her family from the very beginning, she carried that same love with her throughout her life. On Thursday, February 19, 2026, she peacefully entered into her eternal rest.
Affectionately known as “Deb,” “Debbie Jane,” “Ma,” “Grandma Debbie,” “Ma Debbie,” and “Aunt Deb,” she was the spark of joy in her family, always ready with a joke or a laugh that could lift anyone’s spirits. Debbie was known for her infectious laugh that could fill a room, her generous spirit, and her unwavering devotion to those she loved. Her presence brought warmth, comfort, and joy to everyone blessed to know her.
The funeral will be 2 p.m. Monday, February 23, 2026, at Mt. Hebron Holiness Church with the Rev. Fredrick Locklear officiating. Burial will follow in the Jacobs-Brayboy Family Cemetery.
She is lovingly remembered by her husband: Mr. Greg Blanks; her children: Mr. Coty (Mariana), Ms. Courtney, and Mr. Nolan (Kelly); and her pride and joy, her precious grandchildren: Kaison Ryan, Nyla Rose, NovaLee Rae, and Mateo Daniel, who were the light of her life. She is also survived by her siblings: Mr. Herbert, Mr. Ronnie (Lucille), Mrs. Clara Ann (Perry), and Mrs. Evelyn (Lynn); the mother of her grandchildren, Kayla; and a host of nieces, nephews, relatives, and dear friends who will forever carry her love in their hearts.
Debbie’s legacy of love, laughter, and strength will live on in the lives she touched so deeply.
The viewing will be 6-8 p.m. Sunday, February 22, 2026, at Mt. Hebron Holiness Church.
