Mrs. Deana “Shug” L. Warriax, 63, of 940 Tracy Sampson Road was born on November 18, 1959 in Robeson County and departed this life on Thursday, July 20, 2023. She was preceded in death by her husband: Mr. Elias “Don” Warriax; parents: Mr. Billy and Mrs. Minnie Lowry; two brothers: Mr. Mitchell Lowry and Mr. Billy D. Lowry.
The funeral will be 3 p.m. Wednesday, July 26, 2023 at Berea Baptist Church with Revs. Bruce Swett and Marlie Locklear officiating. Burial will follow in the Lumbee Memorial Garden.
Left to cherish her memory are her children: Ms. Danielle M. Warriax, Mr. Dustin M. Warriax (Sicily) Mrs. Heather W. Strickland (Joe), Mr. Jamie S. Warriax, Mr. Elias Don Warriax, Jr. (Tina); ten grandchildren: Elias Don Warriax III, Meghan W. Hayden (Danny), Joshua D. Strickland, Jayla A. Strickland, Drystin C. Warriax, Jaslyn A. Strickland, Donovan G. Warriax-Jones, Danika C. Warriax, Dustin M. Warriax, Jr. and Dansley K. Warriax; five great-grandchildren: Jamison Kase, Jayce Hunt, Jadyn Hayden, Jaxton Hayden and Emberily Strickland; two sisters: Mrs. Patricia Chavis (Kenneth) Ms. Pam Brooks; one brother: Mr. Ricky Lowry(Cindy); sister-in-law: Ms. Rosalind Lowry; sister-in-law and best friend: Ms. Myra Warriax and a host of relatives and friends.
The family will receive friends from 2-3 p.m. Wednesday, July 26, 2023 at Berea Baptist Church.
