Mrs. Connie Jane Locklear, 72 of Pembroke, NC was born March 5, 1950 and departed into her heavenly home on Tuesday, December 6, 2022. She was preceded in death by her father: Mr. Thurman Locklear; her mother: Ms. Velma Sampson; brothers: Mr. Stacy Locklear and Mr. Thurman Locklear, Jr.; sister: Ms. Alice Locklear; and brother-in-law: Mr. Rufus Smith.
The funeral will be 2 p.m. Sunday, December 11, 2022 at Pembroke First Baptist Church with Rev. Kent Chavis, David Oxendine and Aubrey Sweat officiating. Burial will follow in the Lumbee Memorial Gardens.
She leaves behind to cherish her memories her husband of 52 years: Mr. Roye Locklear, Sr.; two sons: Mr. Roye Locklear, Jr. (Angela) and Mr. Brent Locklear; one daughter: Ms. Sabrina Locklear; six grandchildren: Aaron Locklear, Hailey Strakhov, Jordan Bryant, Jenna Bryant, Kelsey Locklear and Riley Locklear; two great-grandchildren: Aubrey Strakhov and Mason Locklear; three brothers: Mr. James Locklear (Brenda), Mr. William Locklear (Elvera) and Mr. Joe Locklear (Pam); three sisters: Ms. Hazel Hunt, Ms. Helen Smith and Mrs. Mary Louis Callahan (Larry); sister-in-law: Mrs. Betty Locklear along with a large presence of family and friends.
The family will receive friends from 6-8 Saturday, December 10, 2022 at Pembroke First Baptist Church.

I was class mate she was a good student and a friend she signed my year book I set at the table at our 50 years reunion that was last time I seen her she said she was sick I told her she will get better may you rest in peace god bless you
