Mr. Wyvin Locklear, Sr., 79 of 76 Wyvin Lane, Lumberton was born on September 23, 1943 to the late Mr. Hezekiah and Mrs. Isadora Locklear and departed this life on Friday, July 21, 2023. He is preceded in death by his wife: Mrs. Marsha Locklear; two brothers: Mr. Harvey Locklear and Mr. George Locklear and two sisters: Ms. Elmer Locklear and Ms. Mary McMarthy.
The funeral will be 3 p.m. Tuesday, July 25, 2023 at Riverside Independent Baptist Church with Rev. Jerry Locklear, Jerry McNeil and Gary Locklear officiating. Burial will follow in the church cemetery.
Mr. Wyvin leaves to cherish three sons: Mr. Wyvin Locklear Jr. (Michelle), Mr. Scottie Locklear (Ashley) and Mr. Chad Locklear (Kirsten) all of Lumberton; one brother: Mr. Jerry Locklear (Jean) of Lumberton; two sisters: Mrs. Mary Lee Locklear (Lloyd) of Lumberton and Ms. Cora Silcox of Tennessee; seven grandsons: Tristan Locklear, Christian Locklear Jolan Locklear, Raven Locklear, Chad Locklear, Jr., Sequeria Hunt and David Hunt; three great-granddaughters: Makayla Locklear, Isabella Locklear and Shaunia Hunt; seven great-grandchildren: Kylian Locklear, Paisley Locklear, Trinity Locklear, Onya Locklear, Nevaeh Bolton, Hayden Graham, Raelynn Ransom and a host of relatives and friends.
The family will receive friends from 2-3 p.m. Tuesday, July 25, 2023 at Riverside Independent Baptist Church.
