Mr. William Kent Locklear, 60, of Maxton, NC was born in Robeson County on September 21, 1960 and departed this life on Tuesday, July 27, 2021. He was preceded in death by his parents: Mr. James William Locklear and Mrs. Sallie Locklear; three brothers: Mr. Randy Locklear, Mr. Keith Locklear and Mr. Kevin Locklear.
The funeral will be 2 p.m. July 30, 2021 at New Hope Church with Revs: Fredrick Locklear and Kerry Revels officiating. Burial will follow in the Sandcutt Cemetery.
Mr. Locklear leaves to cherish his memories, his sons: Mr. William Joshua Locklear and Mr. Christopher J. Carter (Valerie) of Red Springs; two sisters: Ms. Cynthia Philips and Ms. Danita Locklear (Harlie) both of Maxton, NC; two brothers: Mr. Larry Locklear (Kay) and Mr. Dewey Locklear both of Maxton, NC, five grandchildren-two of those were very special to his heart: Eli Locklear and Andrew Locklear; and he will be missed by many nieces and nephews and a host of relatives and friends.
The family will receive friends from 1-2 p.m. Friday, July 30, 2021 at New Hope Church.
