Mr. Lee Roy Sellers, 87, of Matthews, NC passed away at home surrounded by family on Sunday, November 28, 2021. He was born on May 9, 1934 to Mr. Roy and Mrs. Lili Mae Sellers. He was preceded in death by his parents and wife of more than 60 years: Mrs. Magdalene Oxendine Sellers.
The graveside service will be Friday, December 3, 2021 at Oxendine Family Cemetery with Rev: Bill Phelps officiating.
He is survived by his son: Mr. Jeffery Kent Sellers; three daughters: Ms. Mary Ann Smith, Mrs. Sue Tarlton, Mrs. Teresa Lynn Ward; as well as ten grandchildren and sixteen great-grandchildren with two more on the way.
Mr. Sellers served in the US Army during the Korean War. He was a member of Trinity Fellowship Church. He was a loving a supportive husband, daddy, and popaw.
Procession to grave side service will begin at 11:00 a.m. at Locklear & Son Funeral Home.
