Mr. Lawrence Deese, 77, of 36 Roy Lee’s Drive, Maxton, NC was born on August 16, 1944. He departed this life on Wednesday, September 15, 2021, at his home surrounded by his family and friends. He is preceded in death by his parents: Mr. John & Mrs. Inez Deese; his brothers: Mr. John Deese, Mr. Thomas Deese, Mr. Joe Deese, Mr. Roy Lee Deese and Mr. Jerry Ray Deese; daughter: Ms. Beverly Warriax and granddaughter: Cassidy Clark.
The funeral will be 3 p.m. Sunday, September 19, 2021, at Locklear & Son Funeral Home Chapel with the Revs: Israel Branch and Fredrick Locklear officiating. Burial will follow in the White Hill Church Cemetery.
Mr. Deese leaves to cherish his memory: his loving wife of 52 years: Mrs. Polly Deese; children: Ms. Ellen Locklear and Mr. Lawrence Deese, Jr. of the home; Grandchildren: Ashley Oxendine(Clinton), Josh Locklear(Brittany), Candace Locklear(Eric), Ann Locklear(Wayne) and Mckenzie Brewington; great-grandchildren: Blake, Jacoby, Andrew, Adelynn and Nikita; and a host of family and friends.
The family will receive friends from 2-3 p.m. Sunday, September 19, 2021, at Locklear & Son Funeral Home.
