Mr. Jimmy James Thompson, 89, of 1452 Red Banks Road, Pembroke, was born September 15, 1927 and died Saturday, March 18, 2017 at Morris Manor in Laurinburg. He was preceded in death by his parents: Mr. King Thompson and Ms. Linnie Belle Locklear Thompson; his wife: Mrs. Florence Dial Thompson; a son: Mr. James Thompson, Jr. and a daughter: Ms. Betty Jane Hunt.
The funeral will be 2:00 p.m. Wednesday, March 22, 2017, at White Hill Freewill Baptist Church with burial to follow in the White Hill Church Cemetery.
Surviving are a son: Mr. Marshall Thompson(Debbie) of Maxton; two daughters: Mrs. Pattie Dees(Darrell) of Maxton and Mrs. Vickey Woodard(Lewis) of Lumberton; ten grandchildren: Latonia Graham, Kynia Johnson, Latoya Thompson, Bret Thompson, Corey Thompson, Krista Revels, Kayla Dees, Brian Woods, Megan Collins and Molly Woodard; sixteen great-grandchildren: Kristina Chavis, Ryan Graham, Chelsea Locklear, Elijah Johnson, Dylan Thompson, Devin Sampson, Laura Thompson, Kora Thompson, Keegan Revels, Koi Revels, Kohl Dees, Keela Woods, Jeremiah Oxendine, Jeremy Oxendine, Avery Collins and Tyee Collins; three great-great-grandchildren: Kyron, Caedyn and Kayleigh, several nieces, nephews and a host of other relatives and friends.
The family will receive friends from 7-9 p.m. Tuesday, March 21, 2017, at Locklear & Son Funeral Home.
