Mr. Bobby Locklear, 86, of 823 Lonnie Farm Road Pembroke, NC. was born on April 2, 1939 in Robeson County. He departed this life on Friday, October 3, 2025 surrounded by family.
He is preceded in death by his parents, Mr. Gilbert Locklear and Mrs. Thelma Locklear, grandson Mr. Devan Collins, four brothers Mr. Alton Locklear, Mr. Jimmy Locklear, Mr. Johnny Locklear and Mr. Billy Locklear. He was also preceded in death by four sisters, Mrs. Betty Louise Maynor, Mrs. Vivian Oxendine, Mrs. Marnice Hunt and Mrs. Carlan Locklear.
He leaves to cherish his memories, his wife of 62 years, Mrs. Ethel Gail Locklear, three daughters, Mrs. Chiffon Rudine Locklear (Brian), Mrs. Krista Hite (Timmie), Mrs. LaRonda Lowery (Jamie), all of Pembroke, and one son, Mr. Kenrick Locklear (Schnell), of Lumberton.
Mr. Bobby is survived by 8 grandchildren, Robert Locklear, Kendra Locklear, Briana Locklear, Blake Hite, Kendron Locklear, Cole Lowery, Abigail Lowery, and Jaylon Lowery, and 3 great-grandchildren, Layahna Lowry, Londyn Lowry and Theo Locklear.
In lieu of flowers, the family has requested memorial donations be made to the Mt. Airy Baptist Church Children’s Department where Mr. Bobby served faithfully over 40 years. The funeral will be 4 p.m. Tuesday, October 7, 2025 at Mt. Airy Baptist Church with the Rev. Kelvin Locklear officiating. Burial will follow in the Mt. Airy Baptist Church Cemetery. The family will receive friends from 3-4 p.m. Tuesday, October 7, 2025 at Mt. Airy Baptist Church.
