Mrs. Martha Lee Scott Maynor was born October 21, 1934 in Robeson County, NC, daughter of the late Mr. Charles and Mrs. Pearlie Scott. Mrs. Martha was a hard worker, who after retiring from Converse, was dedicated to her life on the farm, her flowers and helping care for her grandchildren. She left us to gain her wings on Saturday, February 26, 2022 at the age of 87. She was preceded in death by her husband: Mr. Cliff Eartle Maynor; two sons: Mr. Edmund Scott and Mr. Cliff Maynor, Jr.; her parents: Mr. Charles & Mrs. Pearlie Scott; three sisters: Ms. Margie Locklear, Ms. Juanita Woodell and Ms. Mary Prince; one granddaughter: Shanda Oxendine and one great-granddaughter: Christian Oxendine.
The funeral will be 2 p.m. Wednesday, March 2, 2022 at Mercy’s Bridge Holiness Church with Revs: Jerry Paul and Wallace Locklear officiating. Burial will follow in the Maynor Family Cemetery.
Mrs. Maynor leaves to cherish her memories: her daughters: Ms. Pamelia Locklear, Mrs. Linda Eddings(Curtis) and Ms. Teresa Maynor; five sisters: Ms. Shirley Phillips, Ms. Clavie Scott, Ms. Lois Taylor, Ms. Helen Kelly, Ms. Cathy Seagraves; five grandchildren: Jennifer Locklear(Junie), Kevin Eddings, Rhonda Godaire(Shane), Christopher Maynor(Kimberly) and Heather Maynor; eleven great-grandchildren and a host of relatives and friends.
The family will receive friends from 1-2 p.m. at Mercy’s Bridge Holiness Church.
