Mrs. Edith Gilmore, 79, of Lumberton, NC was born April 5, 1945 and called home on Saturday, September 28, 2024. She was preceded in death by a grandson: Matthew Tramel; son: Mr. Tony Tramel and daughter: Ms. Sandra Tramel.
Mrs. Gilmore leaves to be cherished in memory by her husband: Mr. Kenny Gilmore of Lumberton; son: Mr. Douglas Tramel; adopted daughter: Ms. Lynn Smith of Fairmont; grandson: Mr. Brad Tramel (Chyna) of Pembroke; two great grandchildren: Brixley and Chanson Tramel, along with numerous nieces and nephews.
“Edie” loved God and her family. She served in the Army National Guard. Edie retired from Southeastern Regional Medical Center where she worked as a nurse. She was very active in her church. She taught Sunday School and sang in the choir. Edie was ready to meet the Lord. She was a wonderful mother, grandmother, and great-grandmother. She will be missed by all those who knew her and loved her.
