Mr. Robert Jeffery Hunt, Jr “Jeff” was born on December 20, 1960 and transitioned to his heavenly home with family at his side on Saturday, September 5, 2026. Jeff is preceded in death by his parents: Mr. Robert and Mrs. Agnes Dial Hunt, and sister: Ms. Paula Kay Hunt.
Mr. Jeff was an avid horse lover and enjoyed outdoor sightseeing. Jeff would often visit the US Army training facility in Wagram, as he reminisced on his active-duty days. He proudly graduated from Camden Military Academy, which provided a gateway to his military career as a United States Army Communications Center Specialist. Jeff began his training in South Carolina and continued serving in Georgia, Washington, DC, and Germany. He shared stories of connecting soldiers in vital moments all around the world. Through his dedication and high intellectual abilities, Jeff received the National Defense Service Medal.
Jeff leaves behind a beloved cousin: Mr. Allen Griffin Dial, who was more like a brother, and a host of nieces and nephews, family and friends who loved his unforgettable laugh and giving heart.
A graveside service will be 4 p.m. Friday, September 11, 2026, at the Dial Family Cemetery, 715 NC HWY 710N Pembroke, NC with the Rev. Chris Hunt officiating.
