Ms. Fatima Ann Jacobs beloved mother, grandmother and friend, passed away peacefully, surrounded by her loving family, on Tuesday, September 30, 2025 at the age of 71, in UNC-Health Southeastern, Lumberton, NC. She was born February 12, 1954 to the late Ms. Clarsie Bryant and Mr. Sam Carter.
As a child, Fatima had a love for working on the farm. She grew interest in cooking, music and yard sale shopping. She will always be remembered for her fearlessness, strength, out spoken mindset and a personality that could light up any room.
The funeral will be 3 p.m. Sunday, October 5, 2025 at Mt. Airy Baptist Church with the Rev. Kelvin Locklear officiating. Burial will follow in the New Point Baptist Church Cemetery.
Ms. Jacobs is survived by daughters: Ms. Tracy Jacobs and Ms. Teresa Jacobs; son: Mr. Larry Jacobs, Jr.; granddaughters: Brittany Lowery, Ashley Jacobs-Carter, Taylor Jacobs, Alexandra Jacobs, Haylee Jacobs and Latina Hardin; grandsons: Cameron Chavis, Brandagan Hammonds and Bryan Hardin, Jr.; great-granddaughters: Willow McNeill, Aria Carter and Ava Hammonds; great-grandsons: Kye McNeill, Xander Strickland, Jacquise Carter, Jr., Kasen Ricard, Royal Whitty, Kylo Perry; a sister: Mrs. Mary Jane Bryant; a brother: Mr. Russell W. Locklear, Jr. and a host of relatives and friends.
The family will receive friends from 2-3 p.m. Sunday, October 5, 2025 at Mt. Airy Baptist Church.
